# Shape your request before you start

> Minax's questions, the "Your request" card and the "Your request is ready" card.

Before building, Minax helps you pin down your idea. Until you start, nothing is built and these questions are free.

## Where do I answer the questions?

Minax sometimes asks a few questions, never more than three at a time, in the **Details** strip, right above the message box.

* Click an answer, or tick several then **Confirm**.
* **Other answer…**: write your own in the message box.
* **Skip, Minax chooses for me**: Minax makes a sensible choice that you can change later.

When Minax cannot build your request as it is, it offers other versions of your idea under **Which version do you want?**. Pick one, or write your own with **Other answer…**.

## What does the "Your request" card show?

* At the top, your plugin's name and the Minecraft version, for example "Minecraft 26.2".
* A list of what your plugin will do.
* **Details** unfolds the rest: **Commands**, **Settings**, **First** and **Choices made for you**.
* **For later**: what you can ask for afterwards, with extra credits.

**See the exact text sent to the build** shows the full request, word for word.

> [!TIP]
>
> The Minecraft version comes from what you write. Give your server's version in your first message, for example "Paper 1.21.4". If you say nothing, Minax builds for Paper 26.2.

## How do I change a line?

On the **Your request is ready** card, click **Edit**. A **Change** button appears on each line of your request: write what you prefer and Minax updates your request. Click **Done** when it looks right. To add an idea, write it at the bottom of the chat.

## How do I start?

The **Your request is ready** card shows above the message box.

| Your situation | What the card says | The button |
| - | - | - |
| No plan | The price of the plan that will be ticked, once | **Choose my plan and start**: the plan choice opens next to your request. After payment, the build starts by itself. |
| You have credits | **On your credits**, what you have left, and "a plugin often costs 15.4 to 30.7 credits" | **Start the build**: it starts right away. |
| Under 18 | **A parent chooses and pays** | A parent picks the plan and pays, from their own device. |

On a phone, the card reminds you that to play with your plugin, you will need Minecraft Java on a computer.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Once started or paid, your request no longer changes. For what comes next, write in the chat.
