# Frequently asked questions

> Short answers to the questions we get the most.

> **Do I need to know how to code?**
>
> No. You describe your idea in your own words, Minax writes the code. The **Code** tab is only there if you want to look.

> **How long does a plugin take?**
>
> About ten minutes in **Fast** mode, about twice as long in **Pro** mode. A big plugin can take several messages.

> **Is Minax free?**
>
> Your account is free: you explore published plugins, keep your projects and download your .jar files. Creating or editing a plugin needs credits, in packs paid once, with no subscription: 50 credits for €17.99, and a pack of 15 credits for €5.99 to edit a plugin you already made. See [Plans and prices](https://docs.minax.fun/en/credits/plans-and-prices.md).

> **Which language can I write in?**
>
> Your own: Minax answers in the same language. The site is in French, English and German.

> **Will my plugin work the first time?**
>
> Not always. Code written by AI can contain mistakes. Minax compiles your plugin and tries it on a server before wrapping up, then you try it in game. If something is off, describe it in the chat.

> **What rights do I have on my plugin?**
>
> Minax assigns you all rights it may hold in the code, files and textures made for you, including for commercial use. AI-generated content may not be protected by copyright: Minax does not guarantee that you will be able to stop others from copying it.

> **Can everyone see my plugins?**
>
> A plugin that works shows up in Discover, without your username. With a credit pack that is paid and still valid, you can make it private. See [Discover and visibility](https://docs.minax.fun/en/project/discover-and-visibility.md).

> **Can I use Minax on my phone?**
>
> Yes, to start a build and pay. To test in game and play, you need Minecraft Java Edition on a computer.

> **Does Minax make mods or Bedrock plugins?**
>
> No. Minax builds plugins for Java Paper and Spigot servers. See [Platforms and versions](https://docs.minax.fun/en/platforms-and-versions.md).

> **I can't join the test server**
>
> You need the paid Minecraft Java Edition, on the version shown. See [Test in game](https://docs.minax.fun/en/test-in-game/test-server.md#messages-you-may-see).

> **My plugin doesn't start on my server**
>
> Check that your server runs Paper or Spigot, on the project's version. Otherwise, copy the error message from your server's console into the chat: Minax reads it and fixes it.

> **Who can use Minax?**
>
> People aged 13 and over. Under 18, you buy with a parent's agreement, or they pay themselves from the offer details you send them.

> **Is Minax an official Minecraft service?**
>
> No. Minax is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB.

> **How do I contact you?**
>
> On the [Minax Discord](https://discord.gg/NG4nR3E5a6), or by email at [dev@minax.fun](mailto:dev@minax.fun).
