# Create your account

> Your account is free. You only pay when you start building a plugin.

## How do I create my account?

**1. Open minax.fun**

Click **Create an account**.

**2. Pick how to sign in**

With your email address and a password, or with **Discord** or **GitHub**.

**3. Give your month and year of birth**

Minax only keeps your age band.

**4. Confirm your address**

With an email address, you get a 6-digit code. Type it in and your account is ready.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Your password needs 8 characters, an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character.

> [!TIP]
>
> Typed your idea on the home page before creating your account? It is kept in this browser and waits for you in the box.

## What can I do with a free account?

* Explore the plugins published in **Discover** and download them.
* Keep your projects.
* Download the .jar files already built.
* Get your request ready with Minax: its questions are free.

Creating or editing a plugin needs a plan. See [Plans and prices](https://docs.minax.fun/en/credits/plans-and-prices.md).

## Who can sign up?

Minax is for people aged 13 and over. At sign-up, Minax asks for your month and year of birth; it only keeps your age band. Under 18, a parent picks the plan and pays, from their own device.

Minax is not sold in a few countries. The list is in the [terms of sale](https://minax.fun/en/cgv).

## I forgot my password

On the sign-in page, click **Forgot your password?**, enter your email address, then the 6-digit code you receive. You then choose a new password.
