# Which versions does Minax build for?

> The servers and Minecraft versions Minax builds plugins for.

## Which servers?

Minax builds plugins for **Minecraft Java Edition** servers: **Paper** and **Spigot**.

No mods (Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, Quilt), no Bedrock, no proxy plugins (Velocity, BungeeCord).

## How do I pick the version?

There is no version menu: write your server's version in your first message, for example "Paper 1.21.4". If you say nothing, Minax builds for **Paper 26.2**. The version kept shows at the top of the **Your request** card.

Minax can build for versions from **1.8 to 26.2**. Since 2026, Minecraft numbers its versions by year: 26.1, then 26.2. These are not mistakes.

## Which versions does the test server run?

The test server starts versions from **1.12.2 to 26.2**. For older ones, Minax compiles your plugin but cannot try it in game.

## Will a 26.2 plugin work on my 1.21 server?

No. A plugin built for 26.2 needs a server on 26.x. Give your server's version in your first message.
