# Code and export

> Read or change the code yourself, rebuild the .jar, take your files with you.

You never need to touch the code: Minax does it for you. These tools are here if you want to look or tweak.

## See and edit the code

Open the **Code** tab. The file list is on the left: click a file to open it. After a change, use **Save** in the ⋯ menu, then **Rebuild the .jar** to rebuild your plugin.

> [!WARNING]
>
> A change made by hand can break the build. If it does, describe the problem to Minax in the chat.

## Take all the code

**Export project** (project name menu) or **Export as .zip** (⋯ menu) downloads a .zip file with all of your plugin's code. It lands in your downloads.

## Keep a copy on GitHub

In the ⋯ menu, **Connect GitHub**, then **Create repository**. Once connected, the menu item becomes **GitHub Sync**: **Sync now** sends the latest version of your code to your GitHub account. This is optional.

## Rights to your code

Minax assigns you all rights it may hold in the code, files and textures made for you, including for commercial use. AI-generated content may not be protected by copyright: Minax does not guarantee that you will be able to stop others from copying it. The details are in the [terms of use](https://minax.fun/en/terms).
